DESCRIPTION:Join Mellor & Rose this Summer on our special Modern Calligraphy Workshop with our friends at Cheshire Clay Studios on July 12th\, suitable for complete Beginners and Intermediates! \nTHE WORKSHOP\nGuided by expert tutors; Beverly Mellor and Lucy Mellor\, we will begin by covering the core fundamentals of this beautiful and calming art form including how to hold a dip pen\, learning the pressures and rhythms which gives calligraphy those characteristic contrasting strokes before moving onto learning the upper and lower script alphabet\, how to link letters\, first words and phrases (all themed around the seasons!) \nWe’ll learn how to draw decorative illustrations and flourishes to complement our calligraphy and lettering up stationery pieces; cards and gift tags. The second half of the Workshop covers how to layout your Cards and Gift Tags\, letter up and design a piece of seasonally themed wall art along with luxury stationery items. The 2.5 hour workshop includes a fully comprehensive Calligraphy Box with Starter Kit\, Mellor & Rose Calligraphy Workbook\, Luxe Stationery items for your Calligraphy- yours to keep and continue your Calligraphy Journey.\nWe only use FSC Certified and PEFC Certified paper stock for all our Workshops. \n£69.00 per person \nABOUT MELLOR & ROSE\nWe’re Mellor & Rose\, a family of women lettering artists who are passionate about sharing the joys of Calligraphy to a wide audience – this being not only for its fabulous aesthetic but also for its much needed mindful and calming benefits.
